📝 About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Educator to support children with diverse learning needs, disabilities, and developmental challenges. The ideal candidate will create individualized learning plans, conduct assessments, and work closely with parents, teachers, and therapists to ensure holistic development of the child.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Individual Planning

• Assess students to identify learning needs, strengths, and developmental areas.

• Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child.

• Track and document student progress regularly.

Teaching & Support

• Provide one-on-one or small-group guidance, remediation, and academic support.

• Teach functional, behavioral, and social skills as needed.

• Adapt and modify teaching methods based on student capabilities.

Collaboration & Coordination

• Work closely with class teachers, psychologists, therapists, and parents.

• Participate in parent meetings, case discussions, and review sessions.

• Offer guidance to teachers on classroom inclusion strategies.

Behavioral & Emotional Support

• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs).

• Help students develop communication, attention, self-regulation, and motor skills.

• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records, reports, assessments, and progress notes.

• Ensure compliance with institutional and government guidelines.

• Prepare monthly progress and evaluation reports.

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (B.Ed / M.Ed in Special Education).

• RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration preferred / mandatory (if applicable).

• Experience working with children with disabilities (Autism, ADHD, LD, ID, etc.).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience, empathy, and professional commitment.

🧩 Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IEP preparation, behavior management, and inclusive education.

• Experience with therapy-based learning (ABA, Occupational Therapy etc.) is a plus.

• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
